Getting to know West Hills

West Hills was built out in the 1950s and 60s as Knoxville pushed west, and it remains one of the city’s largest intact mid-century neighborhoods — brick ranches, split-levels and two-stories on curving streets that were laid out around the hills rather than through them.

Its centerpiece is West Hills Park, one of the city’s flagship parks, with ballfields, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds and the Jean Teague Greenway walking loop that many residents can reach without getting in a car.

The location does the rest: West Town Mall and the Kingston Pike retail belt sit at the neighborhood’s edge, I-40 and I-640 interchanges are minutes away, and both downtown and the Turkey Creek district are an easy drive.

Getting around

Direct Kingston Pike frontage with fast I-40/I-640 access; roughly 15 minutes to downtown and 10 to Turkey Creek.

In the meantime, describe what you want and Shawn runs it against the live MLS himself — or just ask him what is actually available here, including the listings that never make it to a portal.
