KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A 19-year-old wanted out of Texas is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting someone twice following an argument at a Knoxville intersection, according to court records. It happened on Friday around 6 p.m., near Texas Ave and Sherman Street.
Lamajay Donshay Hill was arrested on Oct. 31 after police said he shot someone two times. A witness told police that they tried to step in between Hill and the victim during the altercation, according to court documents. Hill was charged with a second degree murder attempt, employing a firearm with intent to go armed and being a fugitive from justice, as he fled from Texas.
Court documents say that Hill fled the state to avoid prosecution for a previous assault charge. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. Hill will appear in court on Nov. 3.
