WVLT (Knoxville), October 28, 2026.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee’s new-look roster passed its first test of the year with flying colors, defeating Florida A&M and Lady Vol legend Bridgette Gordon, 132-63 on Tuesday night. The Lady Vols made 49 of their 101 field goal attempts.
If the game had counted, it would have been the most field goals attempted by a Tennessee team coached by Kim Caldwell. Tennessee outrebounded the Ratters 58-25 and scored 42 second chance points. The Lady Vols also forced 37 Florida A&M turnovers, scoring 45 points off them.
Kaylene Smikle led Tennessee with 19 points. The Lady Vols officially open year three of the Kim Caldwell era on Monday against Duquesne at 6:30.
